London: Osprey, part of Helen of Troy Limited, is set to introduce its most sustainable collection this fall, featuring the revolutionary ReComp™ fabric made from recycled materials, alongside partnerships for end-of-use recycling, underscoring a commitment to circular economy and slow fashion principles.

Osprey, a brand under Helen of Troy Limited, is set to unveil its most sustainable collection to date this fall, showcasing a significant commitment to sustainable innovation and the circular economy. The highlight of the collection is the newly developed ReComp™ fabric, which aims to turn manufacturing waste into functional materials.

This proprietary fabric composition includes 70% post-consumer and 30% pre-consumer recycled polyester. It will feature prominently in Osprey’s Arcane™ Earth series, alongside other sustainable elements such as 85% recycled EVA foam and 100% recycled labels and zipper pulls. These design features reflect a growing trend in the industry focusing on upcycling and zero-waste initiatives. The Arcane Earth range comprises various products, including a Duffel Pack and a Roll Top Pack, all designed to minimize environmental impact.

In a further enhancement of its sustainability efforts, Osprey has partnered with Looptworks, a Certified B Corporation dedicated to textile recycling. This collaboration will establish a systematic approach to end-of-use recycling for products that cannot be repaired or donated through Osprey’s All Mighty Guarantee™ programme. According to Osprey, Looptworks will manage the collection and sorting of Osprey’s textiles, recycling them into non-woven products such as insulation and carpet padding, thereby reducing landfill waste.

Mark Galbraith, VP of Product at Osprey, stated, “Each season, Osprey continues to push boundaries with bold design and sustainable innovation, with the goal of being a more conscientious and progressive outdoor brand.” This sentiment underscores the importance of slow fashion, where the emphasis is on creating durable products that have a lower environmental footprint.

Since becoming a bluesign SYSTEM PARTNER in 2021 and introducing certified bluesign products in 2024, Osprey’s commitment to responsible production practices has grown. The brand aims for 83% of its product line to carry the bluesign designation by fall 2025, ensuring products meet stringent safety and environmental criteria.

Osprey’s new collection, including the Arcane Earth series, will be available for purchase starting July 2025, as the company seeks to empower consumers to make sustainable style choices without sacrificing aesthetics. By launching products that blend functionality with eco-conscious materials, Osprey is positioning itself at the forefront of the sustainable fashion movement, encouraging consumers to consider the environmental impact of their purchasing decisions in an age where the demand for ethical behaviour in fashion continues to rise.
