The inaugural People, Planet & Purpose Awards honored fashion leaders and brands driving positive change through sustainability, diversity, and community initiatives at a ceremony in London hosted by TheIndustry.fashion.

The inaugural People, Planet & Purpose Awards ceremony, organized by TheIndustry.fashion, took place last night in London, honoring leading figures and brands in the fashion industry that are driving positive change through sustainability, diversity, and community engagement. The ceremony was held at Corinthia London and hosted by broadcaster and GMB news presenter Marverine, alongside sustainable fashion activist and presenter Scott Wimsett.

Among the most notable honorees were high street giant Marks & Spencer, who were inducted into the first-ever Hall of Fame for their long-standing Plan A sustainable strategy, a core component of their business philosophy for two decades. Also joining the Hall of Fame were stylist Bay Garnett, credited with mainstreaming vintage fashion, and diversity campaigner Daniel Peters of The (Fashion Minority) Report.

The awards celebrate a range of contributions, including sustainable practices, social inclusion efforts, and charitable initiatives within the fashion community. Schuh, a footwear retailer, emerged as one of the evening’s biggest winners, taking home two awards: Diversity & Inclusion in Social Media & Marketing for its One Shoe scheme, and Community Initiative for its Future You programme.

Global logistics experts Bleckmann served as the principal partner of the event, with additional sponsorship from Accruent, Source Fashion, and Studio 82. The awards covered multiple categories, recognizing both individuals and companies of various sizes.
