After months of closure, Plato’s Closet is set to reopen on March 20 with promotions, including gift card giveaways and product drops, led by local entrepreneur Marcie Webster.

Plato’s Closet, a retail store known for its selection of gently-used clothing and accessories aimed at teens and young adults, is set to reopen on Thursday, March 20, after having closed its doors in October. The store is located at 4555 Hopyard Road in Pleasanton, California.

The reopening is led by Marcie Webster, a local entrepreneur with a proven track record of revitalizing previously closed Plato’s Closet locations in various cities, including Pacifica, San Mateo, San Jose, and Monterey. Webster has articulated her commitment to creating a sustainable shopping alternative for the community, as well as empowering her employees. “Pleasanton’s Plato’s Closet officially closed its doors in October, and I’m happy to be bringing it back,” she expressed in a statement. “It’s important to provide the community with a sustainable shopping option, and I’m excited to reopen and bring back such a great asset to the community.”

The reopening will kick off with a series of promotions designed to engage customers from day one. On Thursday, the store will open at 10 a.m. Customers will have the chance to enter a drawing for a $100 gift card, with winners announced later that evening. Additionally, the first 50 customers in line will receive a $10 gift card, and there will be a Brandy Melville product drop at 3 p.m.

On the following day, Friday, March 21, customers can again enter to win a $100 gift card, with the first 10 customers receiving a $10 gift card and a Lulu product drop taking place at 10 a.m. Continuing the promotional activities, Saturday, March 22, will feature another opportunity to win a $100 gift card, with the first 10 customers in line earning a $10 gift card as well. This day will also include product drops from Abercrombie and Fitch, Edikted, and Aerie at 10 a.m., along with an additional surprise drop announced via the store’s Instagram page.

The reopening of Plato’s Closet in Pleasanton reflects a broader trend in sustainable retail, encouraging consumers to consider second-hand shopping as an environmentally conscious choice.
