During a recent visit to a youth organization, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands impressed with her stylish outfit featuring creations by Oscar de la Renta and striking accessories.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, aged 53, showcased her renowned fashion sense during a visit to the clubhouse of the youth organization Netwerk Nieuw Rotterdam on Tuesday. The Dutch royal, known for her ability to reinvent and recycle stylish outfits, donned an eye-catching ensemble that included two standout creations by Oscar de la Renta: a mixed check belted coat combined with an asymmetrical flannel tweed midi dress.

Completing her sophisticated look, Queen Maxima wore Gianvito Rossi brown suede knee-high boots, complemented by Olympia Babylonia Cornaline earrings that subtly enhanced her attire. Of particular note was her choice of accessories, including a brown Gucci horsebit leather clutch, recognized for its luxury status with a retail price of £2,700. This clutch, featuring Gucci’s iconic symbol, first made an appearance in 2006 at the Winter Olympics and was previously seen at a national work conference in Amersfoort last year.

The queen’s history with Gucci reflects her ongoing appreciation for bold and distinctive pieces. Notably, in 2013, she wore a vibrant hot pink 70’s inspired tunic and trouser set from the brand, which quickly became a hallmark of her fashion identity, characterized by unique silhouettes and vibrant colors.

Maxima has consistently been acknowledged as one of the most fashion-forward royals, often stepping outside the minimalist trends that currently dominate royal wardrobes. Her style has been marked by bold colors and imaginative designs. Earlier this week, she was seen in a striking monochromatic outfit during a visit to a Post-COVID Expertise Center. This look featured an all-white assembly comprised of wide-leg trousers, a short top labeled ‘Bunty’, and a matching clutch. She opted for an adventurous shoe choice, sporting Gianvito Rossi’s ‘Martis’ boots, which include remarkable features such as ridged cuffs and a chunky platform, designed to elevate classic hiking styles with a contemporary twist.

To accentuate her monochromatic look, Queen Maxima accessorized with a black beaded spider brooch and matching beaded earrings crafted by Maria Calderara. This careful attention to detail and penchant for bold fashion statements continues to make her a prominent figure in royal attire discussions.
