After a five-year hiatus, Ralph Lauren opens a new Polo Ralph Lauren store in Jackson Square, featuring a mix of men’s and women’s apparel, vintage items, and a design that complements the historical charm of the neighborhood.

Ralph Lauren has made a much-anticipated return to San Francisco, opening a new Polo Ralph Lauren store in the Jackson Square neighborhood after a five-year hiatus. The brand previously closed its Fillmore Street location in 2020 and had also shuttered its Crocker Galleria store in 2013. The new store takes over the space formerly occupied by handbag brand Senreve and features both men’s and women’s apparel from Polo Ralph Lauren as well as the premium line Double RL. In addition to clothing, customers can explore a curated selection of vintage clothing and accessories.

The new store aligns well with the upscale character of Jackson Square, a historically rich neighborhood dating back to the Gold Rush era. The area has become home to high-end retail names, including Isabel Marant, Zimmerman, A.P.C., Paul Smith, and Lan Jaenicke. The design of Ralph Lauren’s new store complements the historic surroundings with antique fixtures, while modern touches such as a custom deep-green exterior, warm oak flooring, and a loft-like open layout enhance the shopping experience. Visitors can expect meticulous millwork and decorative art that pays tribute to Ralph Lauren’s iconic aesthetic. The Polo Ralph Lauren store is located at 441 Jackson St.

In another notable development, Banana Republic has partnered with HBO to launch a chic, limited-edition collection inspired by the hit series The White Lotus. Meena Anvary, the head of marketing at Banana Republic, explained that the collaboration is designed to evoke “a sense of discovery and wit through a premium lens” and is inspired by the scenic landscapes of Thailand showcased in the show. The collection includes 24 pieces for both men and women, featuring tropical and vintage-inspired prints alongside solid options in more subdued hues.

The range includes items such as slouchy fisherman pants and versatile field shirts/jackets, all crafted from high-quality materials like European flax linen, lightweight cotton poplin, and pure silk. Prices for the collection, designed for both vacation and urban wear, range from $40 to $300. The collection can be found online and at select Banana Republic locations.

Additionally, LoveShackFancy has opened a boutique at Marin Country Mart, adding a pop of color and style to the shopping area. With its arrival, the charming brand continues to appeal to fans of whimsical and romantic fashion.

These developments mark an exciting time in San Francisco’s retail scene, with high-profile brands re-establishing their presence and introducing fresh collaborations that cater to diverse shopping preferences.
