Remi Bader reveals her weight-loss surgery while Meghan Markle launches her ShopMy page and DSquared2 showcases a new underwear campaign, alongside the introduction of sustainable jewelry brand Petite Frites.
Remi Bader, a prominent figure in the fashion industry known for her work centered around curve-friendly styles and body positivity, has recently disclosed that she underwent weight-loss surgery. In an interview with Self, Bader revealed that she had a single anastomosis duodenal-ileal bypass with sleeve gastrectomy (SADI-S) procedure in the fall of 2023. This surgical intervention involved the removal of 80% of her stomach and was prompted by ongoing struggles with mental health and eating disorders.
The decision for surgery comes amid months of speculation from fans regarding Bader’s noticeable transformation. She has indicated that while her eating habits have improved post-surgery, she is adjusting to significant changes in her body. One notable change is the requirement to maintain a 30-minute gap between eating and drinking, which has added complexity to her new routine. In her remarks, Bader expressed her surprise at the rapidity of her weight loss. “I never thought it would be this quick,” she said. “I never wanted to be this size…I’m probably the only person that’s ever gone to a doctor for weight loss to be like, ‘Okay, but can I still be curvy?’ It’s really confusing to be so quickly in a different body but have the exact same brain.”
In a separate development, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has made a foray into the world of online shopping with the launch of her ShopMy page. As she prepares for the debut of her lifestyle brand, As Ever, Markle introduced this platform to share her favorite fashion and beauty finds. The curated page features a variety of items from her daily wardrobe, encompassing clothing, accessories, and beauty products from various brands including Reformation, Jenni Kayne, and Saint Laurent. Additionally, shoppers can explore her selection of beauty products that includes popular items from brands like Jane Iredale and Tatcha, available at ShopMy.US.
Fashion brand DSquared2 has also captivated attention with its latest Spring 2025 underwear campaign, showcasing models Matty Carrington and Stefano Marshall. The campaign features the pair in a tropical cabana setting, highlighting the collection of men’s briefs and trunks. Promotional images depict the models enjoying fresh fruit while sporting the brand’s underwear, contributing to the campaign’s laid-back yet alluring aesthetic. The collection can be viewed on DSquared2.com.
