Renowned designer Roksanda Ilin?i? presents her latest collection that merges artistic expression with sustainable practices, featuring a collaboration with Dylon Detergent.

Roksanda Ilin?i? has continued her two-decade legacy of innovative fashion design at London Fashion Week, presenting a stunning Autumn/Winter 2025 collection under her eponymous label, ROKSANDA. Known for blending artistic expression with high-quality design, Ilin?i?’s latest offering features 35 meticulously crafted pieces that showcase her signature structural shapes and vibrant color-blocking techniques, bringing a refreshing vitality to the typically dreary London weather.

In an interview with Marie Claire UK, Ilin?i? noted, “In the centre of my work is the woman and everything she expresses and endures. It’s also about merging the art of expression with the craft of design. I want to create pieces that feel both contemporary and timeless, garments that have a lasting quality but also speak to the moment we’re in.” This philosophy serves as the foundation for her creative process, aiming to produce clothing that resonates with individual strength and presence.

The collection took a unique direction through a collaboration with Dylon Detergent, emphasizing the importance of garment care and longevity. As part of this partnership, Ilin?i? revitalized three archival pieces from her extensive fabric collection using Dylon’s innovative formula. “Dylon has added an extra layer to my longstanding affinity for colour and a bold vibrancy that’s always been a cornerstone of what I do,” Ilin?i? remarked, highlighting the synergy between past and present designs. The selected archival pieces not only complemented her new collection but also illustrated an approach to fashion that incorporates upcycling as a method to extend the lifespan of clothing.

Additionally, Ilin?i? drew inspiration from renowned artist Phyllida Barlow, whose playful and colorful installations have captivated audiences for years. “I admire Phyllida’s way of repurposing discarded objects and breathing new life into something otherwise forgotten,” Ilin?i? expressed. This influence was reflected in the collection, where Ilin?i? revisited materials and trims previously used in her works, creatively transforming them into new designs that echo both innovation and sustainability.

The resulting collection is a showcase of architectural finesse, embodying elements such as soft drapery and structural tailoring, all while celebrating ROKSANDA’s mastery in color application. With a focus on responsible consumption and lasting style, the collaboration with Dylon showcases how the fashion industry can evolve while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.

Overall, Ilin?i?’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection stands as a testament to her ability to intertwine individual expression with the deep-rooted traditions of craftsmanship, all while engaging with contemporary issues surrounding fashion and sustainability.
