New York: Designer Rosetta Getty showcases her fall 2025 collection at a downtown showroom, featuring innovative textiles and a unique collaboration with artist Hayden Dunham. The collection draws inspiration from mid-century fashion aesthetics, blending modernity and nostalgia in luxurious garments.

Rosetta Getty has unveiled her fall 2025 collection during a preview held at her downtown New York showroom, once again collaborating with artist Hayden Dunham to create a unique installation that serves as both backdrop and expression of her latest designs. This creative partnership continues to evolve, showcasing their shared vision for pushing boundaries in fashion. “It’s all of these things that start from one thing and end up another thing,” Getty remarked during the event.

Central to Getty’s work is her innovative use of textiles, which she describes as an area where she truly excels. “I have a love-hate relationship with textiles,” Getty noted, laughing as she discussed her creative process. The collection features a variety of materials including Duchess satin fashioned into cocoon-shaped separates, plongé leather suits, and luxurious double-face cashmere coats. Among the standout pieces is a long sequin dress that incorporates a soft inner lining, alongside a striking mixed media slipdress that combines mercerized cotton with silk.

The designer drew inspiration from the polished fashion aesthetics of the 1950s and 1960s, resulting in tailored pieces that exhibit an intriguing mix of modernity and nostalgia. This season, tailoring has been reinterpreted with a focus on silhouette; garments include sharply cut pieces that accentuate the waist, such as a cropped button-front jacket adorned with custom rounded rim logo buttons and a button halter top styled as a waistcoat.

Knitted items in the collection also bring a sense of comfort and luxury, featuring a variety of gauges and cashmere blends to create visually appealing textures. Notably, the tailored maxi coat—characteristic of Getty’s design philosophy—has been reimagined in scuba double knit, ensuring ease of wear without sacrificing style.

Throughout the fall 2025 collection, Getty has crafted pieces that exude a luxurious and tactile quality, positioning her work to stand out within a competitive market while maintaining a subtle elegance.
