SKIMS, the lifestyle brand co-founded by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, is expanding its portfolio by acquiring SKKN by Kim, a beauty brand co-owned by Kardashian and Coty. This acquisition marks a significant move for SKIMS, which has built a reputation since its inception in 2019 for its inclusive and innovative apparel, including shapewear, intimates, loungewear, swimwear, and most recently, an activewear line in partnership with Nike.

By securing control over SKKN by Kim, SKIMS consolidates Kardashian’s beauty ventures under one umbrella, which includes her expertise in cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance. Kardashian, who serves as Chief Creative Officer of SKIMS, stated, “My mission has always been to create products that resonate deeply—whether it’s shapewear and lingerie that empowers or makeup and skincare that transforms.” She emphasized that uniting her various product lines under the SKIMS brand helps to streamline her vision.

In an interview, Jens Grede, the CEO and Co-Founder of SKIMS, remarked, “This acquisition isn’t just growth; it’s about the strength of our brand and our ability to enter a new category with authority.” The integration of SKKN is expected to allow SKIMS to leverage Kardashian’s established reputation in the beauty industry to create products that can rival established names in the market.

Plans for the new beauty and skincare products are set for a 2026 launch, indicating SKIMS’ ambition to reshape the beauty and fragrance landscape just as it has done with its apparel.
