The Splash Sydney Show and Australian Fashion Council team up to enhance local designers’ international exposure during Australian Fashion Week.

The Splash Sydney Show has entered into a partnership with the Australian Fashion Council (AFC) to present an exciting opportunity for local designers to gain international exposure during Australian Fashion Week (AFW). This collaborative initiative, titled “AFW presents the Atelier powered by Splash,” will take place on May 14 and 15 at Carriageworks, a prominent cultural hub in Sydney, showcasing a range of contemporary fashion brands alongside the traditional runway events of AFW.

The collaboration follows the Splash Sydney Show’s previous event, scheduled for May 12 and 13 at Walsh Bay, which will highlight various lifestyle, resort, and swimwear brands. This strategic partnership aims to deliver a well-curated guest list of international delegates, thereby enhancing resources and appealing to buyers, media representatives, and industry professionals alike.

Among the designers participating in this venture are notable names such as Liandra, Spell, Pared Eyewear, and Sol Sana, all contributing to the vibrant tapestry of Australian fashion. Jenny Nakkan, the founder of Splash Sydney Show, expressed her enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “We are excited to be able to expand the opportunity to brands to participate in the Atelier powered by Splash at AFC Australian Fashion Week, delivering global exposure, access to high-profile buyers, and meaningful connections with industry professionals to more Australian designers and brands.”

Nakkan further emphasized the complementary nature of this partnership, noting that it encapsulates their shared vision for an Australian industry event that not only supports local businesses at various stages but also solidifies Australia’s position on the global fashion map. This collaboration underscores a commitment to fostering growth within the country’s fashion industry, paving the way for emerging and established designers to showcase their creativity to a wider audience.
