Suzy Amis Cameron has launched Inside Out LLC, a new venture focused on creating sustainable solutions across various sectors while promoting ethical practices and environmental responsibility.
Suzy Amis Cameron, a well-known environmental advocate and entrepreneur, has recently launched Inside Out LLC, a venture aimed at creating sustainable and ethical solutions across multiple sectors. The company, which operates under the collective name Inside Out (IO), focuses on intertwining fashion, science, technology, and other fields to ensure both commercial success and a positive environmental and social impact.
In a statement to The SPIN OFF, Amis Cameron emphasized the ambition behind IO, describing it as “more than a company: it’s a movement to reimagine how business interacts with the planet and its people.” She further articulated the company’s goals, highlighting a commitment to establishing “a bold new standard where profit aligns with purpose and innovation drives restoration.” The company seeks to leverage collaboration, scientific knowledge, and creative approaches to tackle environmental challenges and leave a sustainable legacy for future generations.
Since its inception over two years ago, Amis Cameron has been building a global team that includes experts from the US, Italy, and New Zealand. Inside Out LLC comprises six distinct sectors: IO Science Research Technology, IO Fashion Textiles Home (IO FTH), IO Food, IO Education, IO Media, and IO Wellness. The organization has previously operated in stealth mode while developing its core initiatives.
Joining Amis Cameron in her endeavors are Erik Stangvik, managing director of Inside Out LLC, and Blair Knippel, executive vice president and CFO. Stangvik remarked, “Inside Out is a testament to what’s possible when vision meets execution,” emphasizing the firm’s mission to transform ambitious ideas into practical solutions that positively affect people and the planet.
Knippel added, “At Inside Out, financial success and fiduciary responsibility go hand in hand with empowering positive change and impact.” Through its various verticals, the organization aims to foster an ecosystem where business can thrive while also benefitting society and the environment.
One of the pivotal projects in IO’s future is the development of a carbon-negative, people-positive eco-industrial hub in New Zealand, designed as a model for future global developments that aim to instigate systemic change.
The fashion, textiles, and home division, known as IO FTH, will be spearheaded by Amis Cameron and Matteo Ward, the newly appointed CEO of IO FTH and the founder of the consulting agency Wrad. Recently, IO FTH acquired Wrad, integrating its European team into IO’s global network and signaling a strategic shift towards responsible design.
IO FTH has committed to investing in innovative companies focused on sustainability, such as Sheep Inc., recognized for its carbon-negative supply chain and use of Merino wool in garments. This company recently concluded a Series A funding round which raised £5 million, with the investment led by Inside Out LLC.
As it embarks on its mission, Inside Out LLC stands poised to influence not only the markets it engages with but also the broader dialogue on environmental responsibility and sustainable practices across various industries.
