In the latest developments surrounding the acclaimed series The White Lotus, costume designer Alex Bovaird emerges as a pivotal figure behind its striking fashion aesthetic. With a notable history of contributions to films such as American Honey, Bird, and Bad Education, Bovaird has solidified her reputation in the industry. She has played an instrumental role in shaping the visual style throughout all seasons of The White Lotus, including the just-released third season, which showcases a new setting in Thailand and features Blackpink’s Lalisa Manoban.

The much-anticipated Season 3 of The White Lotus premiered today, transporting viewers to a vibrant tropical landscape that reflects the luxury and sophistication emblematic of the series. To coincide with this unveiling, Bovaird has collaborated with H&M to launch a resort wear capsule collection, set to launch globally on February 20. This 25-piece collection seeks to encapsulate the essence of a luxury resort vacation through a carefully curated selection of garments.

Bovaird’s collection draws from a bohemian aesthetic, featuring 1960s-inspired babydoll dresses, intricate crochet designs, and romantic long dresses, complemented by stylish cover-ups. The pieces are crafted from soft, translucent materials, including Tencel and recycled polyester, ensuring ease of packing for any travel occasion. Highlights from the line include whimsical motifs, such as lotus flower prints and playful elephants, which enhance the vacation vibe.

Commenting on her design philosophy, Bovaird stated, “We always have this little catchphrase on the show: ‘Nothing’s too much for The White Lotus!’ So, I’m naturally drawn to bold patterns and sumptuous, billowing pieces.” She expressed enthusiasm about the versatility of her collection, noting, “I love that this collection can be worn all day — you could throw it on for breakfast or the pool, or add jewelry and wear it straight to dinner. It’s all about effortless luxury.”

The H&M collection includes various fashionable items, such as a polyamide-blend kaftan priced at $99.90, alongside dresses and tops ranging from $79.90 to $129.90. Other accessories, including a paper bucket hat and leather sandals, are also featured, promoting a comprehensive approach to vacation styling.

With this collaboration and the new season of The White Lotus, Alex Bovaird continues to shape fashion narratives, reflecting the series’ distinctive style while offering consumers a taste of high-end resort wear.
