The new Waterbury Heritage Chronograph blends vintage design with modern affordability, making it a must-have for racing watch enthusiasts.

Timex, a long-established watchmaker based in Connecticut, has recently launched a new timepiece that draws inspiration from the golden age of auto racing. The latest addition to The Waterbury Collection, called the Waterbury Heritage Chronograph, pays homage to iconic watches from the 1970s, such as the Rolex Daytona and Heuer Autavia.

The Waterbury Heritage Chronograph features a quartz movement housed within a 39-millimeter case. Adding to its racing-inspired allure, it includes a rotating tachymeter bezel, which is designed for measuring speed, and subdials positioned at three o’clock and nine o’clock. The design also incorporates pushers reminiscent of those on Paul Newman’s famous watch, enhancing its vintage character. Notably, the central chronograph hand is similar to that of the legendary Omega Speedmaster.

The timepiece is available in two distinct colorways: silver and black, or black and gilt. According to reports from Gear Patrol, the combination of elements from several of the most desirable racing watches, along with its attention to detail, makes the Waterbury Heritage Chronograph an appealing choice for fans of vintage chronographs. The watch is priced competitively at under $300, making it an accessible option for those interested in classic racing-style timepieces.
