Makati City: UNIQLO introduces its 2025 Spring/Summer LifeWear collection themed “Sunny Moments” with a focus on comfort and vibrant colours, showcased by local celebrities. The collection includes versatile items and promotes sustainability through initiatives aimed at donating clothing and encouraging recycling.

UNIQLO has unveiled its 2025 Spring/Summer LifeWear collection, themed “Sunny Moments,” which aims to deliver a blend of comfort, functionality, and style, suitable for the warmer months. This exclusive showcase took place at The Balmori Tent in Rockwell, Makati City, attracting members of the media and prominent figures from the fashion industry.

The event highlighted the collection’s focus on versatile materials and vibrant colours, essential for a casual yet refined aesthetic. Geraldine Sia, Chief Operating Officer of UNIQLO Philippines, spoke to the assembled guests, explaining that the collection features pieces that reflect the joys of summer and spring. “Our showcase highlights the best of our LifeWear, with the wide variety of colours, textures and styles available that are a perfect fit for every Filipino,” she stated.

The 2025 Spring/Summer line is divided into five distinct segments, with local celebrity partners showcasing a selection from the collection. Niana Guerrero, Donny Pangilinan, Kianna Dy, Solenn Heussaff, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith participated in the preview, demonstrating their enthusiasm for the latest offerings.

A notable highlight includes UNIQLO’s new Linen items, inspired by the effortless sophistication of urban style during a summer in Athens. Jasmine Curtis-Smith, who wore a Premium Linen Shirt paired with Denim Bermuda Shorts, expressed her fondness for the collection. “It’s a casual yet put-together outfit that I can bring from my tapings to brunch out with friends,” she remarked. The collection features 100% European flax material aimed at providing comfort in humid conditions.

The inspiration from Athens also extends to the introduction of the Bra Top, designed with summertime wearability in mind. Solenn Heussaff modelled the AIRism Sleeveless Bra Top and commented on its comfort, describing the material as “soft, comfortable, and seamless,” making it ideal for warm weather.

For sports enthusiasts, UNIQLO presented its Sports Utility Wear, characterised by the use of AIRism technology, designed to maintain comfort during physical activities. Kianna Dy, an athlete, highlighted the Ultra-Stretch Active Skort, noting its adaptability for both casual and athletic pursuits.

The collection of jeans draws inspiration from the chic and laid-back vibe of Copenhagen. Donny Pangilinan showcased the UNIQLO Wide Tapered Jeans, praising their lightweight and versatile nature, suitable for various looks. “I like the UNIQLO Wide Tapered Jeans because of its elegant silhouette and it is very light and easy to wear,” he shared.

In addition to the clothing line-up, UNIQLO’s UT graphic shirts continue to represent global pop culture, featuring a fresh selection of over 1,000 designs each season. Niana Guerrero noted how these items, including the Mickey Faces design, serve as a means of self-expression while remaining stylish.

Beyond showcasing the latest designs, UNIQLO reinforced its commitment to sustainability through its “Heart of LifeWear” initiative, which aims to donate one million pieces of HEATTECH and AIRism items to communities in need by 2025. UNIQLO Philippines has already contributed 600 HEATTECH items to single parents in the Baguio area earlier this year and plans to support more communities in the future.

Furthermore, the brand promotes a circular society through its RE.UNIQLO initiative, focusing on reducing clothing disposal rates and recycling materials. The recent launch of its RE.UNIQLO Studio offers customers unique embroidery services, enhancing the longevity and customisation of clothing.

The new LifeWear collection, along with style inspirations as featured in the upcoming edition of LifeWear Magazine, will be available in stores starting February 7. The magazine promises insights into summer’s trending outfits and serves as a resource for fashion enthusiasts planning their warm-weather wardrobes.
