United Legwear & Apparel Co. incorporates Worldly’s Product Impact Calculator to improve greenhouse gas emissions management and support its sustainability strategy.
United Legwear & Apparel Co. (ULAC) has announced the incorporation of Worldly’s Product Impact Calculator into its sustainability initiatives. The decision was made to enhance ULAC’s ability to quantify and manage its supply chain greenhouse gas emissions swiftly and accurately.
Christopher Volpe, COO and CFO at ULAC, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are excited to partner with Worldly and leverage the Product Impact Calculator to advance our sustainability strategy.” He highlighted the benefits of the new tool, noting that it not only streamlines the measurement and tracking of greenhouse gas emissions but also allows the company to make well-informed decisions that contribute to significant environmental advancements.
The Product Impact Calculator enables apparel and consumer goods companies to assess their greenhouse gas emissions in a matter of minutes, facilitating a more efficient sustainability reporting process. With this tool, ULAC aims to strengthen its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint, setting a goal to cut Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 42% by the year 2030. This target has received validation from the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi), ensuring that it aligns with international climate goals.
Additionally, the new system allows ULAC to integrate primary supply chain data from the Higg Facility Environmental Module—developed by the global nonprofit alliance, Cascale—into its calculations for Scope 3 emissions. This represents a significant step forward in ULAC’s decarbonization strategy, enabling the company to make more comprehensive assessments of its environmental impact across its entire supply chain.
