Creative Director Vanessa Seward introduces a Fall/Winter 2025 capsule collection that aims to elevate Begg x Co’s luxury status with a commitment to quality and responsible craftsmanship.

Vanessa Seward has unveiled a new capsule collection for Begg x Co, set to debut for the Fall/Winter 2025 season. This collection will feature a range of offerings, including womenswear, menswear, and homeware, further solidifying her role within the brand as its Creative Director. Seward will hold this position not only for the upcoming capsule collection but will also continue into the Spring/Summer 2026 season and beyond.

In a statement discussing her new partnership, Seward expressed her excitement and sense of privilege to work with Begg x Co, highlighting the alignment of the company’s values with her own vision of luxury fashion. “More than ever I’m partial to King Charles’ ‘Buy once, buy well’. I believe in fashion investment, buying fewer items but of better quality to keep or hand down,” she noted.

The collaboration allows her to engage directly with Begg x Co’s production teams, including their two mills specializing in knit and woven products, which are located in Scotland. Seward described the experience of working closely with skilled craftspeople as a significant aspect of her role. “I feel I’m dealing directly with a group of craftspeople committed to the highest quality,” she stated.

Seward also shared her admiration for Begg x Co’s unique identity, which she characterized by its bold color associations, commitment to responsible craftsmanship, and emphasis on artistic collaborations. This identity resonates with her own pursuits, which she described as combining portrait painting and fashion. Furthermore, she highlighted her ongoing interest in integrating “wardrobe templates” into her designs.

Despite having cultivated a devoted following, Seward aims to elevate Begg x Co’s status, rendering it a staple brand known for luxury cashmere items. “My goal is to help them become a staple, the go-to brand when one dreams of a luxury cashmere item,” she explained. Through this partnership, Seward is focused on creating fashion that embodies substance, authenticity, and a distinctive character she refers to as “a soul, a Scottish one for sure.” She sees this vision as aligning with current trends in the luxury market, suggesting her approach could help reshape consumers’ perceptions of high-quality fashion in the years to come.
