One of the market’s standout offerings was a blue-and-white floral slip dress designed by John Galliano, originally worn by Anna Wintour at the 1996 Met Gala. This prized piece, donated by Emily Rockefeller, was quickly snapped up by Gigi Hadid, who, even before the event officially opened its doors, expressed her delight in making such a significant purchase. “I don’t know how this all happened but I chose three pieces I didn’t know were once Anna’s,” Hadid said from the checkout line at Roll & Hill.
