Wool & Prince adopts Centric Software’s integrated PLM platform to improve communication and operational efficiency amid expansion.

Wool & Prince, a clothing company known for its use of merino wool, is implementing a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution to improve operational efficiency as it expands its product line and workforce. The decision comes as the company grapples with challenges stemming from disjointed systems and siloed departments that have hindered effective communication and data sharing.

Kristen Drzayich, the Director of Product Development at Wool & Prince, stated, “We realized we needed a PLM that was robust, one that could do more and bring in the other areas of the business—like sourcing and assortment planning, not just product development.” This sentiment underscores the company’s desire for a comprehensive system that not only supports product development but also enhances collaboration across various functions.

After evaluating multiple PLM options, Wool & Prince has opted for Centric Software’s integrated platform. Drzayich praised the solution, noting that it is “user-friendly, highly configurable and designed to scale with us.” She highlighted the platform’s “spreadsheet-like interface,” which aims to facilitate user adoption and streamline information flow.

Sustainability is a core value for Wool & Prince, and the company views robust traceability within their supply chain as essential. Drzayich commented on their commitment, stating, “Wool is inherently more sustainable, but we need strong traceability.” According to her, integrating vendor data into the Centric PLM system will not only simplify processes but also contribute to the creation of durable and timeless products.

Additionally, the company plans to further enhance its operations by integrating the Centric PLM with existing systems. “We’re excited to configure Centric PLM to fit our needs while adopting industry best practices,” Drzayich added.

Fabrice Canonge, President of Centric Software, expressed enthusiasm about Wool & Prince’s choice, emphasizing the potential benefits of their collaboration. He stated, “I am certain that our association will be beneficial as Wool & Prince follows their growth trajectory.”

As Wool & Prince moves forward with this new PLM solution, it is poised to strengthen its operational capabilities while continuing its commitment to sustainability. The addition of advanced technology could play a significant role in redefining the company’s processes and enhancing its product offerings.
