Seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton signs on as the latest ambassador for athletic brand Lululemon, marking a significant shift in his career.
Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion, has recently entered a new chapter in his career by signing on as the latest ambassador for the athletic brand Lululemon. The announcement was made on Monday, adding Hamilton to a roster of other prominent athletes, including PGA golfers Min Woo Lee and Max Homa, ATP tennis player Frances Tiafoe, WTA player Leylah Fernandez, NFL wide receiver DK Metcalf, NBA player Jordan Clarkson, and NHL player Connor Bedard.
Hamilton’s partnership with Lululemon marks a significant shift from his previous collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, which began in 2018. That relationship came to a close last year coinciding with Hamilton’s departure from the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 team, as he now drives for Scuderia Ferrari.
As part of his role with Lululemon, Hamilton will not only serve as a brand ambassador but will also engage in collaborations focused on design and global advocacy. “Lululemon product is such high quality, looks amazing and ultimately delivers the performance I need it to,” Hamilton stated. “I’m excited to partner with a brand that embraces a holistic approach to wellness. Together we want to inspire our communities to be the best versions of themselves.”
A standout figure in motorsport, Hamilton holds the records for the most Grand Prix race victories, podium finishes, and pole positions. He is also a prominent advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in motorsport and has been active in social justice initiatives globally. This advocacy aligns with Lululemon’s values, as expressed by Nikki Neuburger, chief brand and product activation officer for Lululemon, who said, “I’m thrilled to welcome Lewis to the Lululemon collective as our newest ambassador. Lewis is a game-changer in every sense of the word. His relentless commitment to performance, well-being and impact align completely with what we stand for at Lululemon.”
In his role, Hamilton will collaborate closely with Lululemon’s research and innovation, along with design and development teams, to share insights on the brand’s athletic and lifestyle collections. Additionally, Lululemon’s Centre for Social Impact will partner with Hamilton’s global foundation, Mission 44, to integrate movement and mental health initiatives aimed at enhancing opportunities for young people through education and empowerment initiatives.
Hamilton will also feature prominently in Lululemon’s upcoming global campaign, titled “No Holding Back,” which will highlight the dedication, physical training, and mental conditioning needed to achieve championship success. His image will be part of the promotion for the brand’s newest men’s training apparel and its well-received Metal Vent Tech line.
