Director Paul Feig has lauded actress Blake Lively for her significant contributions to her character’s wardrobe in the upcoming film, “Another Simple Favor.” In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter published on Saturday, March 8, Feig expressed his admiration for Lively’s unique fashion ideas, stating, “Her ideas on wardrobe are spectacular.” He recounted how Lively initially suggested she should appear on screen in a suit that resembled a prison outfit. Feig noted that while the idea seemed unusual at first, it ultimately proved to be “brilliant.”

Further discussing Lively’s creative influence, Feig mentioned a comically oversized sun hat that features prominently in the film’s trailer. He revealed that Lively discovered the hat at a store in Capri called Fiore and eagerly insisted on incorporating it into her character’s look. “She came back and said, ‘I just bought this hat. Can we put it in the movie?’ That’s definitely going in the movie. You kidding me?” Feig remarked, illustrating her enthusiasm for the project.

The film is set to debut on Prime Video, following its world premiere at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas, where Lively attended the premiere on March 7, 2023. For the event, she wore a vintage ’50s-inspired mauve dress designed by Renée Massoomian, adding to the excitement surrounding the film’s launch.
